Dental Crowns
A dental crown, or cap, is a tooth-shaped covering that is placed over a damaged or decayed tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance.
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It consists of an artificial tooth (or teeth) held in place by crowns on adjacent teeth or dental implants.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone to replace missing tooth roots. Once the implant has fused with the bone (a process called osseointegration), a crown, bridge, or denture can be attached to restore function and aesthetics.
Dentures
We design, fit, and fabricate complete or partial dentures to replace multiple missing teeth. Dentures are removable appliances that can improve chewing ability and restore a natural-looking smile.
Cosmetic Dentistry
In addition to functional restorations, prosthodontists also specialize in cosmetic dental procedures to enhance the aesthetics of a patient's smile. This may include teeth whitening, gum contouring, and other treatments to improve the overall appearance of the teeth and gums.
Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are thin shells made of porcelain or composite resin that are bonded to the front surfaces of teeth to improve their appearance. Veneers can correct the shape, size, colour, and alignment of teeth.
Maxillofacial Prosthetics
Prosthodontists may work with patients who have congenital or acquired defects of the head and neck, such as cleft palate, oral cancer, or traumatic injuries. They can design and fabricate custom prostheses, such as obturators (to close a hole in the palate) or facial prostheses (to restore facial structures).
